A personal project inspired by the steampunk challenge which I thought to be a very awesome topic. Wish I had the time to have completed and entered my piece...

Generally, I start with a ton of pencil sketches, which are eventually scanned in. I gather as many references as I can (in this case, I took pictures of myself to use as Daedalus), and then I begin on the final image once that preparatory work is completed.

The image depicts the story of Daedalus escaping from Minos' tower, moments before he flies too high in the atmosphere in his fathers machine, and crashes into the sea.

I would love to hear any thoughts, opinions, or critiques on how the work could be enhanced/strengthened
